Traffic, Speeding in Las Vegas

By | 2017-02-24T21:45:38+00:00 February 24th, 2017|Categories: Online Legal Services, Speeding|Tags: , |

Basically, a new report says we should stop complaining, and those of you speeding in Las Vegas because traffic made you late are just whiny. Yeah, we don’t like these people either. Also, that’s not totally what the report said – that’s a just our little tongue in cheek short explanation. The real point of the study, and subsequent news coverage around it, was ranking different cities in the United States in terms of traffic and travel. How far away do people live from where they work? How long do they spend sitting in traffic, how long is their commute, these are the types of questions this survey set out to elucidate for the general public. And the word is, that Las Vegas is actually pretty well off, comparatively, in terms of our traffic. No, no one likes to sit in a parking lot on Interstate 15 when a Las Vegas car crash is blocking three lanes. Yes, everyone wants lights here and there timed better and merges to just be simple already! But at least according to this report we are doing okay, at least for major metro areas. What’s not OK is getting a speeding ticket in Las [...]

Las Vegas DUI numbers from checkpoint, Super Bowl

By | 2017-02-17T22:47:45+00:00 February 17th, 2017|Categories: DUI, Online Legal Services|Tags: , |

The numbers are out from at least on Las Vegas DUI checkpoint that was in place for the Super Bowl. The numbers, as they usually do, tend to lend ever more credence to the arguments of those who say that these are not the most effective means to catch drunk drivers. Now, our goal here at 24hourticketpower.com is to help people who have been arrested for DUI in Las Vegas. However, we still understand the Las Vegas Metro Police force’s point, and the Nevada-wide focus on drunk driving, as DUI accidents in Las Vegas can cause serious injury. But if they point is to prevent them, then there are statistically much better ways. Roving patrols, for instance, are shown to be “better’ at catching drunk drivers. If you’re arrested for DUI in Las Vegas and need to connect to a lawyer day or night, 24hourticketpower.com is the place for you to visit. Our service can help you make the best of this admittedly unpleasant situation. Our top DUI attorneys know Nevada law and Las Vegas police. If we can’t get the charge thrown out, we’ll get it reduced down as far as humanly possible. We stay on top of all [...]

Super Bowl DUI Arrest Focus in Henderson

By | 2017-02-08T22:06:33+00:00 February 8th, 2017|Categories: DUI, Online Legal Services|Tags: , |

You had to know this post was coming. As predicable a post as there is for an online DUI attorney to know about, especially in Henderson and the rest of the Las Vegas valley. Football and beer are fairly synonymous enough to begin with. But you throw in the biggest of football games in the biggest sports gambling city and the biggest party city in general, and you have really got to worry anyway about a DUI enforcement presence for this night. Sure enough, they were out in force to arrest Las Vegas drivers for DUI. We haven’t yet seen anything about the final numbers. But we did see this report about the Henderson DUI arrest push from not only Henderson police but other law enforcement agencies in the area. If you are arrested for driving under the influence in Henderson or anywhere else in the Las Vegas area, fight it online with ticketpower.com. Our 24 hour service connects you with a Nevada DUI traffic attorney who can make the best for you out of a scary and sometimes ugly situation. We get tickets and arrests thrown out, knocked down, shortened, points reduced, and everything possible to make your life [...]

The Added Insurance Costs of a Las Vegas Speeding Ticket

By | 2016-12-24T01:45:34+00:00 December 24th, 2016|Categories: Online Legal Services, Speeding|Tags: , |

A favorite of ours here at 24hourticketpower.com is the Road Warrior over at the Las Vegas Review Journal. A recent column under these auspices talked a lot about an issue that we and our clients are very well aware of: insurance. That is to say, how getting a Las Vegas speeding ticket, DUI, or any other road infraction can cost you even more than the ticket itself in rising insurance costs. That’s part of the reason we developed our website to help Las Vegas fight speeding tickets online. We know that getting the charge reduced, the ticket thrown out, or an infraction changed to one without points on your license can save you hundreds or even thousands of dollars a year. That’s why 24hourticketpower.com makes it so easy for you to access our online legal service for Las Vegas speeding tickets and traffic tickets of all kinds. We’ll take care of everything for you – you won’t need to go to court or even to our offices in most cases, and we’ll get you the very best outcome possible. One of the great things about Road Warrior is that he does the math out for you. How much will a [...]

Thanksgiving DUI in Las Vegas Ruins the Holiday

By | 2016-11-25T15:34:47+00:00 November 25th, 2016|Categories: DUI, Online Legal Services|Tags: , |

Thanksgiving is a day of celebration, for most people living in the United States of America, anyway. It is a day abounding with the Three Fs: food, family and football. While the roots of Thanksgiving may be somewhat less glowing and uniformly happy than most of us realize, that’s also how history works in a lot of ways. Regardless of what it was or wasn’t, it is now what it is: a feast and a long weekend of celebration. Of course for some they head straight from being thankful for what they have to throwing punches in the line to check out during Black Friday sales events, but that also is another story. However, there are also those of us who like to celebrate with a little alcohol as well as our food on Thanksgiving (most adults are probably in this category). Police have a tendency of setting up DUI checkpoints in Las Vegas for this very reason, since there are a number of Las Vegas vehicle accidents related to it. That almost always lends itself to at least a few people getting arrested for driving under the influence in Nevada on an otherwise celebratory evening. This is a truly [...]

Las Vegas Texting and Driving Focus for Police

By | 2016-11-07T23:23:14+00:00 November 7th, 2016|Categories: Distraction on the Road: Texting, Online Legal Services|Tags: , , |

Texting and driving tickets in Las Vegas can cost you. That’s what the Las Vegas Metro Police are focusing on getting the word out on, and even officers across the state. Per a release from the Las Vegas Metro Police Department, from now until the 13th of this month they will be focusing on texting and driving. We’ll take you straight to their press release on texting and driving tickets in Las Vegas: “Officers Remind Residents U Drive, U Text, U Pay! Law Enforcement Statewide focus on Distracted Drivers Las Vegas, Nevada – Law enforcement agencies statewide will be Joining Forces and focusing on Distracted Drivers Nov 2 -13, 2016. Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department will be working diligently to urge motorists to keep your eyes on the road and put away cell phones or other items that cause distractions. On average texting takes your eyes off the road for 4.6 seconds. When traveling at 55mph, that's enough time to cover the length of a football field blindfolded. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration said that traffic deaths rose 10.4 percent in the first half of 2016 over 2015. That means 1,665 more deaths across the country in six months. [...]

Las Vegas Metro Police DUI Checkpoint Tonight

By | 2016-10-26T02:50:27+00:00 October 26th, 2016|Categories: DUI, Online Legal Services|Tags: , , |

Las Vegas Metro Police are just finishing up conducting a DUI checkpoint. This is nothing new in terms of them conducting checkpoints, but of course every new check point yields additional Las Vegas DUI arrest issues. The checkpoint will actually be running for another 20 minutes or so. (Don’t ask the specifics of why this author is up so late, beyond that it involves little kids). If you’ve been hit with a DUI at a Las Vegas sobriety checkpoint and want to fight it online, you can do it right now. 24hourticketpower.com handles Nevada DUI charges through our online system any time day or night, as our name hopefully suggests. Connect with a top DUI attorney right now to at least take the worry about “what am I gonna do?!” out of the admittedly unpleasant experience. We will begin handling your charge immediately, and be in touch with you quickly (but usually during business hours) about how the case is and will be handled. Fixing your Las Vegas DUI online is just a click away at 24hourticketpower.com How does the Metro Traffic Division work, and how is it divided (ha ha ha) between the different functions it plays? Here is, [...]

More Cops and More Speeding Tickets Possible in Las Vegas

By | 2016-10-07T01:11:09+00:00 October 7th, 2016|Categories: Las Vegas Legal News, Online Legal Services, Speeding|Tags: , |

There could soon be more officers to give out more Las Vegas speeding tickets. That’s because additional funding for police officers may be back on the table at a special session of the legislature that would presumably begin next week. The special session is not at all being called because there is a lack of uniformed officers patrolling Las Vegas streets. In fact, the special session is to bring more criminal element to the Las Vegas area: it is to bring raiders to our fair city. Or more appropriately, that should be capitalized as Raiders, and given the potential official name: the Las Vegas Raiders, a franchise of the National Football League. Pardon the terrible play on words, please. However, the bi-product of a special session is potentially some smaller bills that are unrelated in most senses to the huge taxpayer funding portion of the stadium that the other money men say is necessary to their putting up any money for the team and their new digs. In this case, as stated above, part of the potential other purposes of the session could be to directly approve a tax increase for more officers for the Las Vegas Metro Police Force. [...]

Different Kinds of Nevada Careless Driving Citations

By | 2016-08-09T01:41:59+00:00 August 9th, 2016|Categories: Careless Driving, Online Legal Services|Tags: , |

Though we are mostly an online traffic ticket service for Las Vegas and the surrounding area, we still follow traffic law all over the state. Good ideas spread, and sometimes bad ideas spread even more quickly. So we perked our ears up when we saw news of a new Nevada traffic law going into effect in Reno. What are our urban compatriots up north up to these days? They’re making a separate traffic offense for careless driving in Nevada, if only inside their Reno city limits. Additions to the no no list include eating, doing any kind of makeup or face pruning including but not limited to shaving, and more. The actual infraction that this has become is called “Inattentive Driving” and also includes the heinous act of brushing your teeth. At least according to some reports, kids distracting you is also a newly leveled traffic violation under this new provision. Even Fido and Katty Cat are not immune from being the proximal causes of this statute. It’s not a cheap Nevada traffic citation, either, running up to and including three hundred and five dollars. It’s not surprising that the list of banned and newly harsher penalized activities includes doing [...]

Rankings Leave Out Nevada Traffic Tickets

By | 2016-06-14T23:48:50+00:00 June 14th, 2016|Categories: Las Vegas Legal News, Online Legal Services|Tags: , |

What’s the best state to drive in? For anyone who has recently gotten a traffic ticket in Nevada, the answer is probably “somewhere else.” True probably no matter where you get a traffic ticket -- nobody, nobody likes getting a traffic ticket. But truly, beyond just personal and incidental temporal reasoning, it is interesting to see rankings of where the best and worst places to drive are, even if just to refine our own ideas and come up with our own ranking systems based on the flaws we see in others’ methodology. A recent ranking of all 50 states was recently released by CarInsurance.com. This online car insurance provider had some very interesting ranking systems that ticketpower.com are not necessarily totally on board with for various reasons, including that the Nevada traffic tickets were not included in the rankings. Here’s what was included: Insurance -- Percent car insurance is of median household income Uninsured drivers -- Estimated percent of uninsured drivers Traffic fatalities -- Annual traffic deaths per 100,000 population Roads -- Percent of roads in poor/mediocre condition Bridges -- Percent of bridges deemed structurally deficient Repair costs -- Estimated extra cost of car repair due to driving on bad roads Gas -- Average price of a [...]

Las Vegas Police Cell Phone While Driving Controversy

By | 2016-04-22T00:20:58+00:00 April 22nd, 2016|Categories: Cellphones and Visual distractions, Online Legal Services|Tags: |

What can you do with a cellphone while driving? Well, in part it depends on if you’re a police officer or not. This facebook post has gotten a lot of attention for a picture allegedly showing a cop in Las Vegas driving with a cellphone in violation, perhaps, of specific statutes making it unlawful to use a handheld electronic device like a cell phone, tablet, or many other types of devices that are not physically affixed to the vehicle’s, for example on the dash, and used hands free. Of course, there are specific callouts for law enforcement officials to use in the course of their public safety duties. The average person does not have that kind of latitude. So what might this officer have been doing? He might have been doing who knows what, but we can’t imagine getting his call, text, or data log. He could claim it was something involved in his official business, and that would be the end of it. The problem is that no one wants a Nevada cell phone violation ticket. And when you do you want fight that Las Vegas cell phone ticket online, but that’s for a little later in this post. [...]

Las Vegas Police Focused on Distracted Driving Tickets

By | 2016-04-05T23:10:22+00:00 April 5th, 2016|Categories: Careless Driving, Cellphones and Visual distractions, Distraction on the Road: Texting, Online Legal Services|Tags: , |

Keep your eyes on the road and off your cell phone, or any other distractions you can think of, is the message that the police are always trying to convey. They convey this with issuing distracted driving tickets to Las Vegas drivers. They convey this message with press releases. Their most recent press about the issue states that extra enforcement will be taking place this month – beginning a few days ago and continuing through until the 20th of this month. According to the release from the Las Vegas Metro Police, the reason for this special enforcement and targeting Las Vegas distracted drivers for traffic tickets is: “According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), 3,179 people were killed and 431,000 were injured in motor vehicle collisions involving distracted drivers in 2014. Five seconds is the average time a driver’s eyes are off the road while texting. When traveling at 55mph, that's enough time to drive the length of an entire football field blindfolded.” While an admirable goal, if you’re gotten one of these Nevada distracted driving citations you’re probably not real happy about it, and want to fight it online if you can. Look no further than 24hourticketpower.com [...]

Police Ticket of 300 People in Nevada and California

By | 2016-03-26T00:48:14+00:00 March 26th, 2016|Categories: DUI, Online Legal Services, Speeding|Tags: , , |

The Nevada Highways Patrol went on a speeding and other ticket giving spree today. They had help from the California Highway Patrol for this fine dispensing bonanza, along with officers from the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department and the Henderson Police Department. It was a regular flock of law enforcement, and all aimed at making spring break a little more expensive for some people. The focus of the enforcement zone was along interstate 15, which we suppose is why the California Highway Patrol was involved. If you were giving a speeding ticket in Nevada as part of this special enforcement period and focus, 24hourticketpower.com can help. Our completely online system connects you with a top attorney who will handle your Las Vegas traffic ticket for you totally online in most cases. We’ll get you the best outcome for your ticket possible – thrown out, or smaller plea deal, for example – and we’ll handle everything for you. Important Driving Course in Las Vegas But Can’t Fix Your Speeding Ticket

By | 2016-03-20T23:44:04+00:00 March 20th, 2016|Categories: Online Legal Services, Speeding|Tags: , |

A driving course just finished up today out at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway which gave young and or inexperienced drivers a chance to learn things that they don’t teach you in Drivers’ Ed. No, the course didn’t teach how to do a high speed reverse 180 or anything like that. This wasn’t the course where students might find themselves using the maneuvers here in real life just after saying to a friend “hang on, I saw this in a movie once.” This course was about safely practicing dangerous situations you might experience while out driving on the roads but in a controlled environment, without the risks associated with skidding or making a sudden tactical lane change to avoid an accident on the freeway in rush hour. The course went through things like how to keep the vehicle under control if you hit a sudden patch of water and find yourself skidding out. Drivers learned how to make a last minute lane change on the fly if they need to avoid a car collision. They learn plenty of other things as well, like how to deal with other types of skids or slides, what the different braking systems feel like [...]

Las Vegas DUI Checkpoints for Super Bowl Sunday

By | 2016-02-07T15:31:54+00:00 February 7th, 2016|Categories: DUI, Online Legal Services|Tags: , , |

Happy Super Bowl Day! For most Americans, this is a fun, fun day. The whole season has boiled down to this: the two best teams, or the two teams that outlasted their injuries and willed their ways through to the end. Maybe your favorite team is in the big game, or maybe one of your most hated which gives you the fire to watch the game with that extra little something. For many people, it’s just a party – they may not be the biggest football fans, but this is a day of fun – people have parties, bars and restaurants have parties, casinos have parties to out do each other with the biggest, wildest, most celebrity filled party. If your favorite team or your favorite nemesis team isn’t in the big game, there’s still the commercials, which rarely fail to disappoint. But, be wary. Especially if you have no stake in the game and are just free to party, have a safe way home. Take a taxi, have a friend who wasn’t drinking drive you home, Uber, whatever it is, be careful. For starters, you don’t want to cause a Las Vegas vehicle accident. It’s a real concern if [...]

Henderson, NV Police Issue Hundreds of Tickets in January

By | 2016-01-30T16:16:09+00:00 January 30th, 2016|Categories: Henderson Legal News, Online Legal Services, Traffic Ticket|Tags: , |

If you live in Henderson you probably need help fixing a traffic ticket online. That’s because, if you hadn’t heard, police have been out in force in Henderson, Nevada, issuing traffic tickets left and right for the month of January. They even had cops from with them from other local jurisdictions and from the Nevada Highway Patrol. This was all made possible by money from the feds in the form of a grant used to pay for other officers come help hand out Henderson traffic tickets. We supposed in part that could be used as ammunition to say that traffic tickets do not pay for themselves, and they’re really just to keep public safety in mind. We here at 24hourticketpower.com really don’t have a position on that. You could argue it any which way. You could say that they just don’t pay enough to be worth the administrative hassle of finding the officers from other jurisdictions, or paying solo traffic enforcement officers. You could wonder if the Henderson Police on the back end have to pay back a part or all of the traffic ticket fees collected from the extra enforcement. That’s honestly an argument or a philosophical exercise that [...]

Police Step Up Las Vegas Speeding Tickets in January

By | 2016-01-09T00:48:51+00:00 January 9th, 2016|Categories: Online Legal Services, Speeding|Tags: , |

This January is apparently not the time to speed in Southern Nevada. Not that any time really is, but, as any driver will tell you, some times are better than others. We have it on good authority, now, though, that you’re much more likely to get a Las Vegas speeding ticket this January than perhaps at many other times due to the so called “Slow Down” campaign that has the Nevada Highway Patrol ramping up its efforts to catch and ticket motorists and issue speeding tickets. According to this news report, the efforts may be focused on the state line – so be extra careful if you’re heading to California. Where it may be especially noticed is in visitor traffic, as motorists are popped with a Nevada speeding ticket as they cross the line (pun very much intended) heading toward Las Vegas for a fun weekend or conference from Southern California. There are places where the speed limit drops, and you can be sure that that is where they will look for you, in that they will be holding what are often called “speed traps” by those who are caught in them. The police are engaging in this effort, per [...]
