Las Vegas speeding ticket, don’t try to outrun them

By | 2017-04-10T22:15:19-07:00 April 10th, 2017|Categories: Speeding|Tags: , |

If you are being stopped for speeding in Las Vegas it is a good idea to stop. We know that speeding tickets in Las Vegas are no fun. We have had our fair share, and helped plenty of people fight a Las Vegas Speeding ticket online. That, of course, is what does, and does best. We know better than most that you can, in fact, fight Las Vegas speeding tickets and fight them online. We also know that hands down it is easier to fight a lower ticket after the fact than to try to run from the police and end up with a number of other tickets and usually causes for arrest to fight after the fact. Do not get us wrong, we can help you either way – if you pulled over immediately when you saw the flashing lights, or if you took police on a high speed chase and ended up with a raft of charges to fight in addition to your Las Vegas speeding which you would have gotten anyway, and now have to try to get out of so, so much more. was built, after all, to help fight Las Vegas speeding tickets, [...]

More Las Vegas Speeding Tickets, or non-Speeding

Frankly, it is about time somebody put this bill forward. By “this bill” we mean a fine for driving too slowly. Now, regular readers of our blog might be somewhat surprised at the whole construction of the beginning of this blog. We are, of course, a site that helps people fight Las Vegas speeding tickets online. We deal with people who are in trouble for going too fast. Therefore it might be surprising to hear us say (or write, as the case may be) that we are glad to see potentially people being fined for going too slowly. Normally that would not be something that our clients especially would be happy to hear about in the abstract: additional traffic fines. But let us face it: most of our clients are not going too slowly. By and large, we believe it would be fair to say that they would be irritated by those left lane campers, those people clogging up traffic. So, perhaps you can understand our interest in this bill. We will give you more info on it in a moment. But first, let us remind you that we at help our clients fight all kinds of Las Vegas [...]

Beer saves driver from Las Vegas speeding ticket

By | 2017-03-01T21:00:30-07:00 March 1st, 2017|Categories: Las Vegas Legal News, Speeding|Tags: , |

This is certainly a unique way of getting out of a speeding ticket. Of all things, it was beer that got this driver out of a Las Vegas speeding ticket. These are not words we are used to writing, but read on if you will. A driver, pulled over by the police for speeding, expects a ticket. They will certainly and rightfully try to talk their way out. To use every different kind of line, excuse, emotional tinge to their story, bare honesty and apology, you name it. Sometimes that gets folks out of a traffic ticket, sometimes it does not. In reality it often has very little to do with whether a police officer will give you a warning or not. They will look up your driving history, judge by the conditions, and more. Sometimes it boils down to how they’re feeling that day, sometimes there are traffic ticket quotas and sometimes, yes, your tack and story and demeanor or something else can inspire a Las Vegas Metro Police traffic cop to ticket you for speeding, and sometimes it can get you out of one. But what got this person out of a Las Vegas speeding ticket was the [...]

Traffic, Speeding in Las Vegas

By | 2017-02-24T21:45:38-07:00 February 24th, 2017|Categories: Online Legal Services, Speeding|Tags: , |

Basically, a new report says we should stop complaining, and those of you speeding in Las Vegas because traffic made you late are just whiny. Yeah, we don’t like these people either. Also, that’s not totally what the report said – that’s a just our little tongue in cheek short explanation. The real point of the study, and subsequent news coverage around it, was ranking different cities in the United States in terms of traffic and travel. How far away do people live from where they work? How long do they spend sitting in traffic, how long is their commute, these are the types of questions this survey set out to elucidate for the general public. And the word is, that Las Vegas is actually pretty well off, comparatively, in terms of our traffic. No, no one likes to sit in a parking lot on Interstate 15 when a Las Vegas car crash is blocking three lanes. Yes, everyone wants lights here and there timed better and merges to just be simple already! But at least according to this report we are doing okay, at least for major metro areas. What’s not OK is getting a speeding ticket in Las [...]

More Las Vegas work zone speeding tickets coming

By | 2017-02-04T23:00:28-07:00 February 4th, 2017|Categories: Speeding|Tags: , , |

Remember to breathe deeply. Go to the bathroom before you leave. Don’t drink too many fluids on the drive. Have calming music, headphones or a Bluetooth so that you can make phone calls safely and legally, a snack, and some patience. More and more and even more road work is coming to Las Vegas, and it’s going to make the traffic problems we have already faced due to road construction look like child’s play. All of this is part of a broader project, Project Neon, that aims to cut down on traffic around the Las Vegas valley. But in the meantime, it will mean more traffic, as lanes are closed to allow for the construction. Above all, remember that Las Vegas speeding tickets will double in these work zones. There will be more officers checking speed, and out there to give you a work zone speeding ticket and ruin your day. It’s hard to not drive faster when you can when traffic is bad, because you have to get where you’re going. But it can be expensive. However, you can fight your Las Vegas work zone speeding ticket online with if you need to. We will make the ticket [...]

The Added Insurance Costs of a Las Vegas Speeding Ticket

By | 2016-12-24T01:45:34-07:00 December 24th, 2016|Categories: Online Legal Services, Speeding|Tags: , |

A favorite of ours here at is the Road Warrior over at the Las Vegas Review Journal. A recent column under these auspices talked a lot about an issue that we and our clients are very well aware of: insurance. That is to say, how getting a Las Vegas speeding ticket, DUI, or any other road infraction can cost you even more than the ticket itself in rising insurance costs. That’s part of the reason we developed our website to help Las Vegas fight speeding tickets online. We know that getting the charge reduced, the ticket thrown out, or an infraction changed to one without points on your license can save you hundreds or even thousands of dollars a year. That’s why makes it so easy for you to access our online legal service for Las Vegas speeding tickets and traffic tickets of all kinds. We’ll take care of everything for you – you won’t need to go to court or even to our offices in most cases, and we’ll get you the very best outcome possible. Speeding Ticket in Las Vegas for 1mph Over the Limit

By | 2016-12-10T23:05:13-07:00 December 10th, 2016|Categories: Speeding|Tags: , |

Most people think you’re fine if you’re going five miles per hour or less over the speed limit. They believe there is a “grace speed” where cops won’t really stop you, much less write you a ticket. This is just not the case. Yes, it’s true that usually, on a normal day and in normal conditions, officers will not pull you over nor will they issue you a ticket for driving less than five miles per hour over the speed limit. But as we can attest to, as can our clients, that doesn’t mean that’s always the case. We have handled cases for our clients where they were ticketed for under five miles per hour over the speed limit, and there are stories like this of Las Vegas speeding tickets for going just one mile per hour over the limit. Is it common? No. Is it something we see all the time? No. But that doesn’t mean it never happens. Perhaps the most common reason it happens is due to conditions. Speed limits are set a “best case” circumstance numbers where that is meant to be the fastest you are allowed to go in ideal conditions. No traffic, clear weather, [...]

New, More Cops May Mean More Las Vegas Speeding Tickets

By | 2016-11-15T22:02:44-07:00 November 15th, 2016|Categories: Las Vegas Legal News, Speeding|Tags: , , |

More cops, more cops, ever more cops being added to give you a speeding ticket in Las Vegas, or so many other things. Doesn’t it seem like we just went through a local tax increase for more police? That one was aimed at putting patrol cars out there (with officers in them, of course) and if memory serves was all about, or at least mostly about, preventing fatal vehicle crashes in Las Vegas. That also meant that the Las Vegas Metro Police force would soon be responding again to non injury accidents in the Las Vegas area. Well, now another More Cops bill has been signed, sealed, and delivered. The piece of legislation, formally known as the Crime Prevention Act of 2016, was another bill that the legislature passed in a special session. It was also yet another bill that they, the legislature, didn’t pass outright, but made as “enabling” legislation. No, not enabling in the sense of unwittingly contributing to a vice like drugs, enabling in that it allowed the Clark County Commission to raise the tax if it wanted to. Some on one side of the political spectrum might call that enabling in the vice sense of the [...]

Road Work Can Lead to Expensive Las Vegas Speeding Tickets

By | 2016-11-03T21:01:58-07:00 November 3rd, 2016|Categories: Speeding|Tags: , |

We always enjoy reading the Road Warrior column in the Las Vegas Review Journal, particularly when it lets us know about upcoming road work where we might get a Las Vegas speeding ticket doubled for a work zone. Here is just a snippet of those, taken straight from Road Warrior itself, that might be useful to our readers as well: “Summerlin Parkway is restricted between Buffalo Drive and the 215 Beltway until Tuesday. Crews are installing a cable rail median barrier. Interstate 15 will be restricted between Craig Road and Speedway Boulevard in North Las Vegas from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. Sunday through Thursday nights until Nov. 10. Crews are widening the freeway. Main Street is restricted between Bonneville Avenue and Las Vegas Boulevard until Dec. 1 for street improvements. Rampart Boulevard is restricted between Summerlin Parkway and Lake Mead Boulevard until Nov. 19 for a landscaping project. The Martin Luther King Boulevard onramp to northbound U.S. Highway 95 will is closed through November. Crews are erecting retaining walls around the Spaghetti Bowl interchange as part of Project Neon. The Interstate 15 northbound and southbound ramps connecting to northbound U.S. Highway 95 will be closed until late February. [...]

More Cops and More Speeding Tickets Possible in Las Vegas

By | 2016-10-07T01:11:09-07:00 October 7th, 2016|Categories: Las Vegas Legal News, Online Legal Services, Speeding|Tags: , |

There could soon be more officers to give out more Las Vegas speeding tickets. That’s because additional funding for police officers may be back on the table at a special session of the legislature that would presumably begin next week. The special session is not at all being called because there is a lack of uniformed officers patrolling Las Vegas streets. In fact, the special session is to bring more criminal element to the Las Vegas area: it is to bring raiders to our fair city. Or more appropriately, that should be capitalized as Raiders, and given the potential official name: the Las Vegas Raiders, a franchise of the National Football League. Pardon the terrible play on words, please. However, the bi-product of a special session is potentially some smaller bills that are unrelated in most senses to the huge taxpayer funding portion of the stadium that the other money men say is necessary to their putting up any money for the team and their new digs. In this case, as stated above, part of the potential other purposes of the session could be to directly approve a tax increase for more officers for the Las Vegas Metro Police Force. [...]

School Bus Speeding in Las Vegas, Video Reports to Show

By | 2016-10-01T02:17:10-07:00 October 1st, 2016|Categories: Speeding|Tags: , |

What happens when a school bus is caught on camera speeding in Las Vegas? Not much, at least apparently and so far. We’re not even sure if it was issued a Las Vegas speeding ticket or not. But either way, it’s an interesting story and medium term fallout that happened recently. At least according to recent news reports, a police officer who was driving a personal vehicle and was off duty saw a school bus egregiously speeding around a Las Vegas neighborhood. The off duty officer was unable to ascertain if there were any children on the bus at the time. However, he was able to determine the number on the bus (the vehicle identification number with the Clark County School District fleet) in order to not only begin the investigative process but also to contact media with the report. The officer says his video shows the bus hitting approximately 60 miles an hour in a zone with a maximum speed of 35 miles per hour. The video also relatively clearly shows the bus making a turn to the right that is effected without the use of a blinker. That is a traffic violation for sure, though a relatively minor [...]

Las Vegas School Zone Speeding Ticket

By | 2016-08-30T22:42:38-07:00 August 30th, 2016|Categories: Speeding|Tags: , |

Have you gotten a speeding ticket in a Las Vegas school zone yet? If not, you’re certainly not out of the woods yet – school just started yesterday in most Clark County schools. The lights are now on and flashing. The signs that say “when children present” should be heeded as children are now present. Signs that say no U turn, crosswalks, all these things are now going to be getting extra scrutiny by the police because kids are back, and not paying the best of attention in their excitement or agony (or both) at being back in school. Also, don’t, just don’t, pass a school bus that has its “stop” sign out and lights flashing. Drivers of school buses can report you. Many do, as they are charged with the safety of the children on their buses and routes. But what should you do if you haven’t had the chance to read the above advice, and didn’t follow it? Or if you thought you were being careful, have good reason to fight a ticket, but just don’t have the time or the energy or the know-how to fight a Las Vegas school zone ticket online? Boulder City Speeding Tickets, and The Police’ Spin

By | 2016-08-21T21:56:11-07:00 August 21st, 2016|Categories: Speeding|Tags: , , |

The headline reads “Traffic Division Officers Keep Roads Safe” and the article follows predictably from there. Well, predictably if you look first at who wrote the piece. The woman’s name is immaterial, but the office from which she’s writing is not: Boulder City Police.” We mean, honestly though, what other kind of article to do you expect someone to write in an official capacity and speaking on behalf of the police department? They’re not going to write a story that could be headlined “Sometimes Traffic Enforcement Is About Funding” or “You Didn’t Deserve That Ticket.” Police are going to toe the line for police, that’s just the way it is. And we don’t mean to necessarily say that the article or the sentiment is exactly one hundred percent wrong. Police and traffic enforcement officers have their place, all police have their place. But that doesn’t mean the whopper of a speeding ticket Boulder City Police just handed you is “right” or that you shouldn’t fight it. In fact, if you want to fight your Boulder City speeding ticket online visit today for the quickest, simplest, cheapest, and all around best experience in fixing traffic tickets online. Speeding Tickets in Las Vegas Push Nevada To Poor Driving Rank

By | 2016-08-19T22:25:05-07:00 August 19th, 2016|Categories: Las Vegas Legal News, Speeding|Tags: , |

Speeding tickets in Nevada are part of why many rankings have Nevada as one of the worst states for driving. Or rather, this helps us hit the ranking for some of the worst drivers out there, across the country. Does that sound right to you? Depends in part on how you measure it, as with everything. Yes, there are a lot of issues on Nevada roads. Las Vegas and the rest of the valley have some serious issues with accidents, speeding tickets, driving under the influence, and any number of other issues. But in some part, we’re a victim of others. While many states have bad drivers just by virtue of being bad drivers, Las Vegas gets everyone else’s bad drivers. And we get them on vacation, without a care in the world, in a rental car, not knowing where they are going. That’s right, we said it: a part of our bad rating has to be from the tourists. Look, we’re Las Vegas traffic ticket attorneys. We get it as much or probably more than anyone. Las Vegans have their share of speeding tickets to fight online and we help them with it. knows the numbers because we [...]

Watch Out for Construction Zone Speeding Tickets in Summerlin

By | 2016-07-31T23:30:03-07:00 July 31st, 2016|Categories: Speeding|Tags: , , |

Watch out for speeding tickets in construction zones on Summerlin Parkway in Las Vegas this summer. There’s some work going in there, but not necessarily the work that everyone, or at least a lot of people, were hoping for. There was a planned road expansion for Summerlin Parkway before the great recession that stalled with the cuts and budget crunches. It will likely remain stalled. According to the Road Warrior blog on all things traffic related like speeding tickets in Las Vegas, it will be a while. From a recent blog on that site: “Originally, the full build-out of Summerlin Parkway called for three general-purpose traffic lanes in each direction between the Beltway and U.S. Highway 95, with a carpool lane in each direction up to Rampart Boulevard, city spokeswoman Margaret Kurtz said. If the project is ever completed, most of that widening would wipe out the current open median along most of Summerlin Parkway. As a result, the city would have to build a concrete barrier to separate opposing traffic lanes, similar to what you see on most freeways. Those improvements have a hefty $100 million price-tag — money that Kurtz said the city doesn’t have right now.” So [...]

Speeding Ticket in Las Vegas Construction Zones

By | 2016-06-26T22:40:57-07:00 June 26th, 2016|Categories: Speeding|Tags: , , |

There’s a new Road Warrior blogger for the Las Vegas Review Journal. There’s been a lot of turnover at that paper and online news source recently due to the purchase of the company by Sheldon Adelson and his family. Adelson, if you’re new to the area or just don’t follow this kind of news, is the owner of the Sands Corporation, which owns the Sands, Venetian, and a number of other gaming properties in Las Vegas and across the globe. The Sands Corporation’s Macau gaming operation is of particular note as it is one of the company’s biggest money makers. Adelson is a billionaire, and incredibly politically active. He is predominantly a donor to Republican candidates and super PACs (political action committees), and never just sitting back and letting the world pass by, but always trying to influence it. For instance, he is currently trying to get the Oakland Raider’s National Football League team to relocate to Las Vegas, through a complicated financing scheme to build a stadium in part on taxpayer subsidies. But enough about all that, as it is somewhat tangential (read: totally out of left field) for this blog. This blog is about speeding tickets in Las [...]

Over 17,000 Las Vegas Speeding Tickets This Year

By | 2016-05-22T00:39:07-07:00 May 22nd, 2016|Categories: Speeding|Tags: , |

Las Vegas Metro Police are issuing a lot of speeding tickets in the Las Vegas Valley this year. And by “a lot” we truly do mean a huge number. According to a spokesman for Metro, at least 17,000 Las Vegas speeding tickets have been issued by Las Vegas Metro Police Department’s Traffic Division so far this year. Now, we here at have definitely seen evidence of an uptick in policing and issuance of tickets. We have seen that anecdotally just by the number of people who come to us to help them fix a Las Vegas speeding ticket online. The traffic attorneys at have fixed countless speeding tickets completely online for our customers, and know that, at least by the volume of folks we’ve helped so far this year, something has been going on. Well, now we know what that something is: extra enforcement. We have seen evidence of that anecdotally, too, with seemingly a new Joining Forces initiative seeming to be announced every day looking for people speeding or running red lights in Las Vegas, not wearing a seatbelt, driving under the influence of alcohol or controlled substances, crosswalk or pedestrian violations, and more. But, other than [...]
